Que sal mah grew out of a mission to bring the personal to the forefront of fashion. Each of our garments is born out of a meeting.

Que sal mah offers custom made dresses created to perfection within 90 minutes, either at our studio or at the comfort of your home. We mix the on-demand mentality with high-end fashion, making custom designs accessible, fun and beautiful.

The way it works is simple: our client chooses a style online, schedules an appointment and when the dressmaker arrives that’s when the “magic” begins. A single piece of fabric is draped and transformed before your eyes to become a new dress.

We design unique dresses that are custom made for our client's daily versatile needs. From scratch to finish in less than 90 minutes using a special knot-dressmaking technique. The carefully structured dressmaking process, refined over a decade of research, provides an unforgettable art experience that culminates in a custom made dress.

THE PROCESS

What happens in a Que sal mah dressmaking session?

Your dressmaker will ask some questions to better understand your needs and assist in selecting the best design and fabric for you. Following this brief introduction the Que sal mah immersive fashion experience begins and a single piece of fabrics is transformed to become your new garment.

Where do bespoke sessions take place?

The bespoke sessions take place either at our studio in Williamsburg or at our client's home (at home service is currently available in NYC, more cities coming soon)> .

Are the sessions done in privacy?

The Que sal mah bespoke experience is a completely private one-to-one experience.

Do I take my clothes off during the process?

Each Que sal mah garment is custom made on the client's body. Because we want you to feel comfortable, we can provide fresh clean shape-wear to be worn during the process.

How long does a bespoke session take?

The entire session takes roughly 90 minutes, depending on the complexity of the garment and process.

How do I book a bespoke session? Do I have to make a payment?

Select a style you would like to customize from our current collection, then schedule a session. We will get back to you and confirm the appointment.

What if I need to cancel or change my reservation?

Alteration or cancellation of your reservation can be made up to 24 hours before a scheduled appointment.

Are there stitches in a Que sal mah garment?

All of the Que sal mah garments are done in a unique knot-dressmaking method (patent pending). There are no stitches in the garments, however the knots are secured and designed to last.

Who designs my garment?

The bespoke dressmaking of Que sal mah is a process lead by artist Lital Dotan and based on dialogue and exchange.

Is there a proof of authenticity for a Que sal mah garment?

Each Que sal mah garment is labeled and a certificate of authenticity is prepared and sent to the collector.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

What if I don't like the garment?

Que sal mah's garments are designed to make you shine. We want you to love your garment and feel great when you wear it.
As this is a bespoke process, we perceive it as a collaboration. If you have comments, sensations and thoughts you are welcome to share them. If for some reason you decide you do not want to keep the garment- we will graciously accept it and arrange for a refund (when applicable). Please note that a reservation fee of $100 is non-refundable, as well as upgrading material costs from our specialty and luxury collections.

What if I want to make changes to my garment?

In principle, when artist Lital Dotan creates garments for herself she sees them as open-ended works. Changes of body and mind create different needs and sometimes require adjustments. Our clients can schedule a re-interpretation for their garment.
